Synopsis; Warning Spoilers

44 years ago, a great war known as the Valbanill War raged in the land. One of the war’s most dangerous weapons was the Demon Contract, where humans sacrifice their bodies to become powerful demons. Realizing the damages the contracts have caused the land, the surviving nations made peace and banned the use of the Demon contracts.Cecily Cambell is a 3rd generation Knight from Housman, one of the cities of the Independent Trade Cities, a democratic federation of cities. As her grandfather was one of the founders of the Independent Trade Cities, she is proud of her heritage and wishes to protect her city as a knight, like her father and grandfather before her. One day, she fights a mad veteran of the war causing trouble in the market, and, inexperienced and overmatched, faces defeat. But she is saved by a mysterious blacksmith named Luke Ainsworth. Cecily is impressed by Luke’s katana a weapon she has never seen before, and asks him to make one for her. Her involvement with Luke will bring her to an adventure she never expected.

Personal; Its my Opinion if you don’t like it I don’t care.

I liked the story for the most part the main character was cute and bubbly, with a semi-dark or sad, however you look at it, past that made her more interesting I think she was far to weak as a fighter and that the only reason they did that was so Luke and Cecily would have a “fated” meeting involving him saving her with his “majestic foreign” sword; however she did eventually get stronger even if she spent most the time whining about how pathetic she was compared to everyone else. As for the romantic side I was frustrated the entire time waiting for Cecily or Luke to make the first move -.- I am still frustrated, no real love-love relationships just some “infatuations” the real strange thing is when you find out who Lisa is and Luke’s Dark past. Season 2 is still up in the air supposedly the Anime has been dropped by the company so to any Die Hard Seiken No Blacksmith Fans you may have to wait a year or so before a OVA or season 2 rolls around.

What is a Nintendo Game Boy Emulator?

Now I have the sneaking suspicion i’ve been had with this figure..

How much did i pay? £22  That’s roughly $30 INCLUDING shipping. maybe they missed a “0″ out of the price?

Something doesn’t add up. Not that i’m complaining of course! *edit* It has been confirmed. This is a bootleg version. Still pretty perfect except for the nipples. So for the price I’m still extremely happy. however i must make a show of shaking my fist at the sellers for falsely advertisisng a fake as the genuine article.

The figure is beautiful. As to be expected for one that wears so little for the body to be a work of art. Fold of skin at the side as she’s bending. Superb detail on the nails. Slight outline of ribs and hips. Contours of the stomach.

With this particular item however there are of course some faults. All models will have seams and Eve is no exception. however they have tried to cover that with the wings on the thighs and bracelets on the arms. Sadly if you look closley the arm can be noticed. however this is only if you do look closely and i can’t really complain since it’s a naked figure. Where else can they hide the seams?

the base can do its job but for the figure the size and weight that it is, i would have thought a more robust base would have been in order.

Also if those wings could be removed, even just leaving the ringlets behind on the legs, it would be a marked improvement.

Nipples. this is where the detail got sloppy for this particular item. in the uncensored images you may notice the right nipple has a pink ring around it. barely noticable but it is there. Upon viewing other images taken of the model by others i have noticed I seem to be the only one with them.

However if this is a con item made by others I’m still amazingly happy. for £22 including shipping I got more than i could hope for. She’s strikingly beautiful, well proportioned even if slender and sure to be a center piece for some time to come.

is it a must? maybe..Is it a must for $120 short of the recommended retail price? definately!

Her weapon of choice. Good place to start. Her Blue Dragon Crescent Blade. However as this is a gold armoured figure, they have made it golden instead. Hmmmm

Nice greaves. Great detail. especially loving the feet covers.

The tail of the dress. Excellent detail on it. Alongside the swirl of the hair it just oozes awesomeness.

Here we get the crane pose in all it’s glory. The arch of the foot. detail on the toes. Must admit though, the arse cheek looks a little…hmmm misshapen?

The crotch shot. When it’s so on display as this is we kinda have to give some time to it.

Under the skirt itself, this “thong” as it can only be described as it beautifully detailed leaving me to believe they had originally intended for the skirt to be removed. There is a distinctive gold pattern on them. Something you cannot see as they’re black is a definate crease to emphasise the…erm..*cough* that is there. is that really needed? i guess it helps it sell as it isn’t a bad thing and some guys would appreciate it. I on the other hand just laughed and pressed on to the next part.

Sadly i just could not get the camera to focus on this properly! the detail on this belt is a definate eye catcher and for good reason. this snarling beast of a belt was the center of my attention for a good 5 minutes as i tried to find out just who it’s supposed to represent. in the end i gave up to research it at a later date.

Here’s the chest. if only every woman could walk around like this. if this doesn’t say “I have big bouncy jubblies and want you to drool over them because i’m showing them in such a way”..then i don’t know what does. What’s the guess a guy designed this?

Great hand gesture. Some thought at least was put into this crane pose. Look at the shoulder and arm guards. yes look at them..not the boobs.

See that? it’s a look of pity. but no seriously. this look kinda fails with this figure. Someone pointing a dragon blade menacingly and using the crane pose might well be doing this is a duel or something. However her features suggest she’s smelling flowers or something. Slight overlook here?

i see arse! and what an arse! Finally an anime figure that gets it right. She must do butt clenches or something. Seems to be that providing you look from behind and not the front, her arse is perfect.

Hold up..She has a long waving skirt at the front..where’s the back? I’m not complaining much as it’d cover what I’m gleefully staring at but…what?! Did female warriors in the times of the Han dynasty walk around baring the bottom half of their breasts and their arse to the world? Wasn’t it chilly?

Yup..no skirt. damn fine arse and look at the base of the feet! I didn’t even see that untill I viewed this photo.

She does have some sort of clothing tail but that is only the black belt.

If this really is correct, i want to go live in ancient china.

Look at that back. Well contoured.

Ahoge hair! Really needed? definately not. I think I’d much prefere this figure to be menacing or at least serious such as her character in ikki tousen. having “foolish hair” takes that away from her. We’re already showing breasts and underwear that she’d never willingly do.

Ah there we go. As i said, showing breasts. her top is removable and has been done for 3 pictures. However the clip that the chest piece connects to is an eyesore when the chest guard is removed.

Just above the breasts. between them and the scarf. can’t see it?

There we go again. Horrible sight to behold. needlessto say she won’t be keeping her top off. not that I would keep it off anyway

Overall:

This figure is quite cool. awesome pose. great details in some places but there could be improvements made. Get rid of the ahoge hair, give her a serious expression on the face and you’ve got yourself something that would lower the temperature of any desktop with it’s cool factor.

His face doesn’t say much as it’s suppose to be. Only downside it that you hardly see the half moon even tho it’s there and the eyes seem like somewhat “blurry” and not really that sharp or demon like. No pupills at all, instead a big twinkle in his eye.

The face in my opinion also looks a bit weird. A bit flatened and something like a grinch. But also make him look a bit cuter then usuall. But the ears are lovely and pointy as all inutards wants them.

From the side tha bang looks really thick of fat on a closeup, but that would be the only froced nagativity I would make about the angle as it lively on the otherparts. Just the tips looks a bit fat, but that would also be all.

This detail looks a bit to plastic and not really like fabric or strings. Somewhat of a small miss.

Yet another thing that bugs me. The sword is loose so you can take it off. But the griping of the swords stays there, bent. What’s lovely about the hands it the detail. With light on them and in diferent angels you can see the structure of it as it would on your own. Also the markings go all the way up under the sleeve.

And now to the good stuff

His tail/fur looks to me as good as you could imagine from plastic with out making it like real fur. Also feels very fury to touch and from a distance it looks fluffy just like his boa tail/fur does.

I adore his hair. The sculpting is amazing as the shades makes it come to life and gives it even more volume then it already have. It makes him look like in emotion and like the dreamy demon he is.

His armour looks shiny but aswell as real metal doeswhen it’s handcrafted in the oldways. But due the decoration of strings it brings it down a little bit.

The belt is fascinating and makes me wanna turn on him and investigate how it’s set up cause it looks realistic enough to make you believe that you can wrap yourself up with such a belt.

The pants looks big and fluffy, the shading here is absolutly delicious. They looks like real fabric and is shaped as such. A real eye candy.

The feets look very elegant. And the ground is impressing as it’s shaped as such.

I really like this pose as I can see all the goodies of him. What’s really instresting is that you feel like his eyes are following you. Perhaps due the lack of pupills makes that effect. And from this wholeness it is really cool to see. Glare at him back and feel like his watching my every move as the real Sesshoumaru would.

I would dare to say that this is one of the better figurins. As it doesn’t look as much plastic when it’s viewed from the right distance. No matter the angle he’s clothing is moving smoothly towards where he is facing. I would say that figure is not made for closeups but to be admired from a distance. As you would have with the real character

This is a gift from Scouser that glares at me with guilt when I’m lazy and is like a mental whip of happiness. It is by all means a treasure on my bookshelf and beautifull to watch in its wholeness.

I am practically in love with this piece. many yoko figures skip the zip. not this one. huge zip but not outragious. how did they manage that?

base is nothing special and could have been improved. it shows the series logo. sadly only 1 double sprue. For a figure this costly you’d think they would have come up with something a bit better. 2 sprues into a single foot is how it is sadly. handle with care.

And if you look out to your lweft you’ll see the home of hollwood star john travo…nvm. Here we see the figure in some of it’s glory. Skin tight stockings as expected but this is a REAL VERSION. Realistically sculpted..for an anime character that is. the stocking follow the contours of her legs and you can see the folds and such. At the top where the elastic is we have some of yoko’s thigh bulging out slightly as the stocking constrict.

this isn’t something i’ve ever seen in a figure before.

Tip of her rifle

As her hips are positioned to the right and her body upright, she has a natural curve and crease in her side. The slight imprint of ribs. toned body that is also well shaded. tight hotpants and beautifully styled belt.

Her breasts. now it’s hard to talk about these and not seem perverted but what the hell. just look at them! they’re not the HUGE pair that she sometimes has portrayed but a more realistic variation. While most girls are frowning at the screen reading this as most female are not quite as volumptious, i am not talking about size but shape. there is a slight sag as, afterall, she’s wearing a bikini..not a bra. no support. As in the anime, the bikini is way too small and you see some bulge under, over and at the sides. exactly as you would on a real person.

While they’re not 100% accurate, this figure has certainly gone a step further than most figures to attempt to bring some realism to an anime figure.

Even her Muffler is spot on. Pink shading on the first 2 sections, white on the next and so on. those goggles look hot.

True beauty. She still has what she needs to remain true to her character such as the skull hairpin.

the rifle with scope. Aagain we have the beautifully sculpted body next to such a harsh weapon.

She shows she’s no stranger to the weapons as she plays with the strap.

the weapon as it’s held against her back. You can against see the curves of her body. the shoulder blades. Spine. the knot at the back of her bikini. Curl of her hair.

She is interchanagable to remove the glasses/goggles. however to simply remove them would be troublesome, cumbersome and just generally annoying. Fiddly.

So they’ve thought it through thoroughly and decided to remove the whole first section of her hair with it.

AAAAH AVERT THINE EYES MORTALS! My how bad she looks there!

This is yoko without the front half of her hair. you can see the hole at the top where the hair slots into place. this is then overlapped by the hair itself thus sealing off any sign it removes at all.

Here we have the hair piece without glasses/goggles.

oOOo cheeky! I’m talking about Fergie in the background.

Here is yoko without the goggles. You can see the facile feature clearly now and the REAL aspect of this figure shines. While dolls with eyeballs are just plain creepy, anime figures with single dot pupils are horribly plain, here we have real version yoko with semi-realistic (as realistic as paint can get) eyes. They are not double the size they should be as most would be.

Overall:

this is a hit or miss item. Some people buy chibi figures, others prefere the anime figure. Why buy a figure from an anime if you don’t want it in an anime style?

Very valid arguement! however i believe being given the option and then pulling it off in such a magnificent manners has won me over.

This item is pricey but you had better damn well put it on your christmas list! It’s selling out all over the world fast and for good reason.

Was a spur of the moment decision and one I don’t regret.

They come as a pair. Automatically 2 thumbs up from me.

Here is Lumiere. This piece actually does capture her character quite nicely. Young girl with the maturity and elegance and a noble lady.

facial features are, funnily enough, perfect for lumiere. The eyes are..how can i say it? Anime? even the shading in the hair. With figures, most either go a deeper or lighter shade of the same colour. With this figure they chose to do as they do in anime and use an “outragious” different colour. Just as with anime, it works! it IS an anime figure after all. The collar with neck tie is just plain cute. serves no purpose what so ever other than appearance.

Our resident  under-age drinker with her glass of red wine. Although whatever they used for it, it appears more like a rose than a red. this is one of the elements that captures her character so nicely. Lumiere is after all partial to the odd glass of red when relaxing as we saw in the anime and it isn’t shocking to stumble upon a hidden bottle or two about their ship. Becoming an alcoholic? maybe. but she’s adorable and refined so we’ll let it slide…but you’re dealing with the hangover.

her outfit is basically a school swimsuit with frills. Am i wrong? How can someone give off the refined vibe as Lumiere when she’s wearing a school swimsuit with frills? is it the gloves? maybe the boots…

ermmm legs. yeah.

As you can see, she isn’t giving in to the modern day stereotype of size zero!..Or maybe she is. Maybe someone should tell her that only drinking and not eating isn’t healthy.

Back shot. You can see the various curves and creases. the slight crumple at the sides where she bends, curls in the hair. the shoulder blades and spine and..forgive me for saying..the arse. All of this is detail that while isn’t amazing or unique, it has been added in such a fashion that it can be overlooked as being the norm. This is what i love about these figures. MON-SIEUR BOME has a way of adding details and features yet making them appear as if they are natural. They key to an amazing figure is to have such detail and not make them so noticable that they distract from everythign else. Here MON-SIEUR BOME has certainly hit the nail on the head.

Again a twin sprued base for extra stability. nice boots!

Nice detail on the belt/holster. Folds in the dress. OO and a belly button. She has an innie! Oh and she wears white…no i won’t take a pic.

Another neck tie. the only complaint I have about this piece is infront of you. No not the breasts!

the gloss. the finish. I don’t know what it is that causes the shine but i dislike it. i don’t remember there being a shine to her outfit in the anime and i don’t like the fact that where i go in my room and look at the piece, the tip of her breasts are shining at me. it’s slightly disturbing.

lovely collar bones but her facial expression just doesn’t do Eclair justice as Lumiere’s did. Still, least she is happy. loving the little straggle of hair coming down her chest. nice touch.

This girl ahs no arse!? stick thin like her partner yet with breasts. definately from an anime then. Where else but under a surgeons knife could you get such sights? Girls should eat more. even anime girls. Animators! demand more volumptious girls such as our earlier echidna model!

*sigh* what’s the point in this if she has no ars…oo a gun. let’s take a closer look.

Right, where was I? bah again the shine! Why? Does she clean her clothes and then laminate them?!

Nice little detail with the earing. Almost missed this out

Great little duo and well worth the money!

The attention to detail almost seems second nature and effortless but not overly embellished to distract from the rest of the pieces.

Each figure captures the personalities of the characters. Especially Lumiere. If it wasn’t for the weather proofing or whatever the hell it is on Eclairs clothing I’d have given this an extremely good rating. Sadly the glare from her clothes meant I couldn’t see the numberpad and I pressed the wrong number by mistake.

I’ll keep this one brief.

here we have the base. Nothing special to report. Just incase you forgot what anime she comes from we have it titled across. Clare herself stands upon the claymore symbol.

She always had cool boots. I mean what isn’t cool about clare?! paint job quality leaves a bit to be desired.

here is where my main issue with this figure lies. It is not the figures fault at all but my supplier. just above the skirt to the left is a huge scrape. You can see the difference in contrast from a metre away. the figure has a dark and grunfy appeal about her and with a scrape such as this into the PVC, it has left a light patch. It draws the eye everytime! the skirt itself looks like an afterthought. this is a reissue so i know it isn’t and she does wear this skirt in the series but it doesn’t stop it appearing as such.

Here we go again with the scrape. She also has scratches on her breast. Again my supplier. A complaint was made and a freebie items has been dispatched. On another note, Her body is slender and you can see the tendons in the arms. Some detail at least has gone into this. I think I’m strangely biased in this review thus far due to that scrape…

Obvious seem in the hair where 2 parts were put together. Cloak clasp lacks proper detail. Right eye looks slightly off-center. However colouring and shading is what I’d expect of Clare. Collar bones are accentuated correctly.

the claok is this pieces redeeming feature. It’s one and only sadly. beautiful shading, the folds appear breezy and it holds the sword. The cape can be removed however if I did that I believe I would lose all faith in the figure itself and simply mount the cloak by itself. To say she looks better from behind. No sexual pun intended.

The sword can be removed and held in the right hand. very long. Adds a slight cool factor to the piece. keep her at the back of your collection where the slight imperfections can be overlooked and she’d be a very welcomed admission to any collection with that sword.

Sword has the claymore symbol embedded within it. nice little detail.

Clare comes with an interchangable arm. this is the arm that irene gave to her. if you prefere a slight difference to the whole grey approach then this would be a must for you. sadly neither set of arms can hold the sword correctly. you must be gentle in placing the sword or you may snap the tip off due to the cloak.

Overall:

Poor. It’s clare. You can tie her up and throw her in pig excrement. she’d still be awesome. However i feel this figure has let her down. Not just from the slight imprfections caused by shipping and my supplier. The base holds her using 1 point. If you tilted and held the base only then either she may snap or the sprue might. then again the base itself might snap since it’s so thin.

Apart from the hair there are no real noticable seamlines.

While this isn’t my favourite item, it will no doubt be on your list if you’re a claymore fan. All I can say is GET THE ORIGINAL. not the reissue.

Clare will take a back seat in my collection. While she won’t be forgotten she most certainly won’t take the limelight. Sorry clare.

The Review:

Beautiful figure. Gothic style dress. in some places the atention to detail really shows. Look at the rips in the sleeve.

The figure comes with a cross stand, as you might see in a cemetery, on a mirrored base. Excellent idea with the mirrored base.  Not only do we have various connections with the character and her split personalities (she is awakened in this after all), the mirror from the series that brings out the inner demon but it also allows for you to have crafty peek up the skirt in a sly glance. Sadly for you I took the picture at an angle so you see no panties!

Sadly however she isn’t perfect. Sloppy work on the shoes. the lace is a good idea however if you can’t do the paint job correctly, it only embellishes the faults. When you see the dress shortly you can see the stark contrast in quality. Here we have poorly painted and displayed shoes where as the dress is its selling point. To have them both on the same figure is like having the Bronx next door to the Vatican. While I’m sure the Bronx has it’s own appeal and charm it sadly can do nothing but appear as a stain next to the Vatican city just as these shoes do next to the dress. They drag the standard down. I’ve also probably just alienated a good percentage of readers too..lol?

loving the hair Moka! Loving the hair. she has a slight “Ahoge” or “foolish hair” to give the figure that cutesy appeal. the rest of the hair looks as if it’s curling up in a wave. Wind-swept maybe? Either way it is a defining aspect.

Moka lives her daily life under the control of the rosario. When it gets taken off she becomes the awakened and powerful vampire. As you can see, she’s playfully dangling it with her right hand. Almost as if toying with the whole idea.

In this shot you can also see her corset (Nice bust shot too if i do say so myself). A must for any gothic dress it seems. You’ll find no complaints from me. Ladies? just make sure you can breathe when trying this at home! it’s all fun and games untill you crack a rib. I know. i’ve been there!…not that I wear corsets..I meant the broken rib part..ah nevermind. Throw the spade away before I dig myself a bigger hole.

Detail on this dress is definately it’s main selling feature. Great quality and seems to have a matt finish for a glossy effect. Giving off the impression that the whole outfit is leather maybe? Kinky…Let us all just think on that new revelation for a minute.

OOooooeeeerr missus!

She doesn’t just have the chain that connects the rosario to her collar! bracelets with small wings also have chains. the reason? Who cares! looks cool. very nice and unique addition.

We often find designers adding their own ideas to figures and most of the time these ideas fall flat on their faces. Either the characters personality differs to the point where you realise the designer has never actually watched the series or it just sticks out like a saw thumb and you find yourself staring at it whenever you view the piece. This thankfully is neither. The chain is loose by the way! jingle jingle!

What can i say about the face? Standard? While there are no mistakes, there is nothing to draw the eye either. Simply a glance and you’re done here. nice detail on the ears however. Wings on the back? Adds to a cute appeal but I don’t remember them in the anime.

Shot from the back. Wings kinda don’t seem to fit into place. On paper they seem like a great idea. in practise however..i can’t decide. I’m scrunching my face up looking at them as if constipated. just thought I’d share that with you all.

Yup..there’s the deciding shot. DON’T WANT! Moka does not have wings! While the idea of a vampire with wings isn’t a bad one and these match the bracelet, sadly they just don’t suit the figure. besides, one hangs out the back as you’d expect, the other folds flat as they’ve had to insert it side on. No balance.

You can see the curl of the hair in this side shot. Seems like it isn’t only us who like moka too! Did she just wink at him?!

Ok ok..for all you fanboys here is a slight panty shot.

For those of you who dislike such shots, pay attention to the detail on the other foot. Again, very sloppy work.

She’s a beautiful figure. nothing can be faulted in this shot providing you don’t look at the shoe laces. Yes I have a big problem with them.

See?!! SEE?!! They look smudged. If you look at the right thigh you can see a part of the figure sticking out under the dress. While i understand these figures are made in parts in moulds, I’d appreciate having the connecting bits hidden from sight. this could have been hidden by tipping the dress slightly at this section to hide it or put it further back up the leg.

The mirrored base in all it’s glory. i could hear a few of you whimper from my earlier base shot when i said no panties for you. here it is. Out of pity. *growls at the shoes again*

Overall:

For the price it is a perfect beginner. Not the cheapest ever but the cheapest you’d find for it’s quality. Where it lacks in some areas it makes up for in others. The entire figure seems to be a battleground of likes and dislikes.

If you’re just starting out or have cash spare then by all means. It isn’t a decision you would regret. However I wouldn’t encourage you to buy it as a first choice.
